The Center for Spiritual Growth
The LightHeart Institute facilitates numerous activities in a variety of outdoor settings to help clients align their life’s purpose with their deepest calling, or as world renown mythologist Joseph Campbell would say, Follow their Bliss. These activities have included Outdoor Wilderness Retreats, Medicine Walks, Talking Staff Circles and spiritual counseling or direction.
The mission of the Center for Spiritual Growth is to help clients connect with a power greater than themselves through nature. Ritual and ceremony play an important role in these events as they deepen self-awareness, self-love, and connection with the world at large.
What Some Of Our Clients Are Saying…
I hope you’ll let me know when you are planning to have your next Outdoor Wilderness Retreat. Ten months after attending the one last August, I still find the experience to be an important part of my life. Actually, it would have been worth the trip for the outdoor camping, which was fun and seemed to maintain a nice balance between periods of sharing and periods of solitude. But, as you know from conversations I’ve had with you since then, the benefits turned out to be of much greater significance for me. I have turned the discoveries of those three days into a real program for self-growth. Of particular importance were the self-created ceremonies of passage. The rites and meanings of these ceremonies came to us after a period of detachment and attentiveness to nature; they provided a deep bond with new-found friends. I know that my own self-created ceremony marked a much needed passage in my life. The support I got from you and the other retreat members made it a genuine and undeniable rite of passage. I still feel the care and sensitivity that each of you gave me during that important time.

The setting, food and company were all exceptional…
When I read through the workaholic questionnaire I wondered what it meant to answer ‘no’ to only one of the 20 questions. Now I realize I must create a plan to stop working so many hours…
Thank you for helping me find my authentic self.
I’m longing for love and I just scratched the surface.
Thank you for your inspiring role in my life!
I now know I belong.
